Please read the following testimony of Angela B, one of our dear sisters in Christ. May her story be a reminder of the goodness of God and an encouragement for you to share your own testimony!
1 Peter 3:15 ~ But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear
Mark 5:19 ~ However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.”

"Good Morning friends, and my church family.
I am having a very hard time writing this because I know if I do that means it’s real. But I am moving away this coming week so this will be my last Sunday. As you may know my health isn’t doing good and I’m having some personal issues so I need to be closer to my family, my kids, and my grandbabies. They are my life and not being around them is really hurting me. I have really been struggling with this decision. Writing this letter is the only way to have it make sense to you and to me; and for it to be a testimony of how amazing God has been in my life for the best.
It’s like I am Dorthy in the Wizard of Oz and I was running away from my old life when a tornado dropped me off in Middletown (Kansas) and I found my yellow brick road starting at the Hope House. That is where I started the Job’s program and met my two friends to start my journey and help each other on our way. My friends are Mrs. Dru and Mrs. Nancy. I cannot forget my third friend Miss Melinda. These three ladies played a major part in my new life and in my walk with God. I absolutely don’t know what I would do without them. Their love, courage, and kindness helps me get through each day. The day I walked through the door of Buckeye Baptist Church I knew this was where I needed to be.
Everyone played a special role in my journey. I love each and every one of you, but there is no place like home. Buckeye Baptist Church will always be my home away from home. God is so amazing! With Him in my life I am stronger. I am loved. I am safe. I am wanted. God is the only one I will ever trust with my future and my life with Him is so much better. I am a better person, a better mother, and a better friend. He is my rock and my salvation. I can’t wait to meet Him in Heaven where there is no pain and no sorrow.
Pastor David, I saved this for last because this is the hardest for me to handle. My heart is breaking but I know in my heart you will always be my brother in Christ. I have the most love and respect for you. Thank you! And to everyone at Buckeye Baptist Church thank you for all you have done in my walk with God."
