1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
We were so blessed to have been encouraged by the preaching of Davey throughout Wednesday nights in June and July. Though Davey is much younger than your typical speaker from the pulpit, he delivers the Word of God with a passion, understanding, and wisdom similar to others. His messages breaking down the final week of Jesus Christ have been very encouraging and inspired us all to slow down and take time to learn what Jesus considered most important in his final days.
Hebrews 10:23-25 “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
Last Wednesday, Samuel began a series of messages with the theme of "Building Up the Church." In a world of stress and strife, it can be easy to fall into discouragement and bad habits. Last night, Samuel encouraged us to come alongside each other and bear one another's burdens. With verses from Matthew, Corinthians, and 2 Samuel, he encouraged us to reach out to one another, to build relationships with those we may not know well, to pray for one another, and to keep Jesus as our firm foundation. We ended the evening with a time of small group prayer and worship. Join us next Wednesday for more encouragement!
Throughout childhood to adulthood, Samuel has been a participant in and a witness of many years of church growth, ministry, and service. Now on staff, Samuel acts as both our Ministry Coordinator and Worship Director. As Ministry Coordinator, he coordinates special church events, provides support for various church ministries, assists in developing new ministry and service programs, and connects members of the congregation with the community and with each other. As Worship Director, he selects songs, introduces new songs to the congregation, teaches new songs to the praise teams, coordinates and manages praise team volunteers. In addition to all of this, he is also involved with and supports volunteers in the audio, video, and media aspects of the church services and church ministries!
