Last evening was the end of the kids' adventure on the same island as Paul was when he got shipwreck (Melita) Squibby and Captain Crouch found the treasure! But before telling what was inside the treasure chest, let’s recap what the kids learned at our Kingdom Kids Vacation Bible School: Shipwreck.
Day 1: Paul’s great transformation. - Acts Chapter 9. Paul’s dramatic transformation from a fierce persecutor of Christians into an apostle of Jesus. The kids learned that we can have the greatest transformation if we let Jesus into our heart and lives.
Day 2: Paul’s great ministry. Acts 9:13-28.
God told Paul to outreach to the lost and share the greatness of who God is. The kids learned that they too can make an impact and influence their friends, family, and all the people they meet in their lives and point them to Christ.
Day 3: Paul gets rescued. Acts 28. God rescues Paul and everyone on board from the big storm. The kids learned that when the “storms” in their life comes, they can have the peace of mind knowing God will protect and deliver them from whatever the situation, just like God delivered Paul and the crew members from the storm.
The memory verse the kids learned was Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.”
Inside the treasure chest that Squibby and Captain Crouch found with the help of the kids was a Cross and the memory verse reminding the kids that Jesus is the greatest treasure, he will rescue them from their “storms” in their lives and they don’t have to be ashamed sharing who Jesus is to them.
Thank you to all the leaders, the people behind the scenes, and the station leaders who helped made this exciting experience happen for the kids. And a special THANKS to Tommy and Alyssa for coordinating our 2026 Vacation Bible School!
Throughout the 3 days, there was a competition between the boys and girls to see who can give the most donations. The donation will go towards the redesigning of the youth room. If the girls won, Tommy would get a pie in his face, but if the boys won, Alyssa would get a pie in her face. Surprisingly, it was a tie, and both of them got a pie in the face!
Have a blessed day - Kids don’t forget to wear your team colors for the Morning Sunday Service at 11am!
