This morning we were led in worship by a wonderful group of students from Cedarville University. In addition to the powerful worship, our Ministry Coordinator, Samuel, shared an important message addressing the fellowship we share as a body of believers and the purpose behind our meeting together. Check out the livestream of the service linked below!
We are united in Christ and a spiritual family with each other - called together to declare the name of the Lord and sing praises to Him (Hebrews 2:11-13).
We are called to exhort and encourage one another in the faith, to share Biblical counsel and point each other to Christ, to hold to the Lord and the Word of God and to share the life-saving power of both, and to show brotherly love to each other as Christ showed to us even to the point of death (Hebrews 3:13-15, 6:9-12).
We are called to engage in kindness and love to strangers, prisoners, and the mistreated. We are called to fellowship and to be a reflection of Christ in our marriage with our spouse. We are called to share the Gospel and to do the work of Christ, to follow and obey him, and to let the Gospel work, leaving the results to God (Hebrews 13:1-6).
Christ is our core, without him, we would be just another country club with no lasting meaning. We are to spur one another on toward love and good deeds and exhort one another in Jesus Christ. Our goal is to expand the kingdom of heaven - being disciples that make disciples (Hebrews 10:19-25).
