I remember attending various Vacation Bible Schools in my youth. Outrigger Island, Artic Edge, and Power Lab were among my favorites as a child. Each night of VBS, I would come home humming the new songs I had learned - many of which I can still remember to this day! My siblings and I always thought the decorations, skits, games/activities, and snacks put together by the volunteers were amazing. And the lessons we learned from the Bible about the joy that is found in a life dedicated to Christ have remained with us through childhood into adulthood. What a blessing VBS is, not only to the children who attend, but also to their parents and the volunteers who put it together!
Last year, our church hosted a "Wonder Junction" VBS. This was a Wild West themed VBS that focused on sharing the many Wonders of Christ - His Birth, His Childhood and Teenage Years, His Ministry, His Death and Resurrection, and His Return. Every Sunday and Wednesday in June was dedicated to help kids "marvel at Jesus and live for His glory." We had a wonderful group of volunteers put together decorations, skits, games/activities, songs, and snacks for the kids. Everyone - kids, parents, and volunteers - really enjoyed it!
This year, we are hosting a "Shipwrecked" themed VBS. Just like last year, we are planning lessons taught from the Bible about the joy that is found in a life dedicated to Christ and preparing some fun ideas for decorations, games/activities, songs, and dinner/snacks for the kids! However, this year's VBS will be different from last year because it is a 3-night event only! Our VBS will be taking place August 6th, 7th, & 8th from 4:40-8:00pm. We also are asking parents to sign-up this year - so please do so using the embedded registration form below OR click this link (https://tally.so/r/gDppl4). We can't wait to see you there!
