For those who missed Sunday's Service on 3/22/26, here's a recap of the BIG NEWS!
If you would prefer to watch/listen to the announcement, watch our recent livestream starting at 13:17 - https://www.youtube.com/live/q0p1_hB_PQc?si=ERNTaKfO3IPjcKUa&t=797
As you may already know, the Fellowship Hall in the back of the church is undergoing some reconstruction to meet our church's recent growth and expanding needs. If construction is completed as anticipated on April 1st, we will be launching four new ministries on Easter Sunday, April 5th! If the project is delayed, we will announce a later launch date for these ministries.
Why are we launching these new ministries?
  • We have noticed many visitors attending our 11:00am Sunday Service - maybe you are one of them! While visitors can get to know our church a little through Sunday Service, we know one of the best ways for our church to get to know our visitors better, to promote discussion, to answer questions, and to help meet their needs is through small group ministry
  • We have many long-time church attenders & members who have a relationship with Jesus Christ, but do not have relationships in the church. We are not to be isolated Christians Jesus has called all of us not only into a relationship with Him, but also into a relationship with the church body! You already have things in common with your fellow church members: you have accepted Christ as your Savior and have been baptized. Now, we would like to challenge you to join on a on a weekly basis with other people just like you - people who want to understand God's Word, want to understand Christ, want to understand heaven and hell, want to know what the Lord want from them, want to know how the Lord wants them to interact with others, etc. We are all hurting and learning, and we want you to get to know your brothers and sisters in Christ who can walk in faith with you throughout the week.
What are these new ministries?
  • Impact - This is a new ministry for Young Adults (18-29) led by Pastor Samuel Schenck. Whether you are going to college, starting a career, seeking a spouse, buying a home, etc, this small group aims to deepen and encourage young adults' faith through intentional bible study, authentic fellowship and community, active service to God, and engaging outreach to the world.
  • Family Builders - This is a new ministry for those in their 30's & 40's led by Cole & Hope E and Darrin & Tricia W.  Whether you are newly married, raising children, struggling with infertility, career pressures and changes, burnout, financial stress, caring for aging parents, etc, this small group aims to help adults grow in their relationship with God, strengthen their marriage, raise Godly children, learn to budget and become financially confident, and navigate other challenges in the "rush hour" of life.
  • Legacy - This is a new ministry for older adults (50+) led by Gary Philpot. Through Bible study, discussion, learning, and fellowship, we want to help older adults build a legacy for Jesus Christ in their latter years. This small group hopes to equip and challenge older adult believers in their faith, as well as to provide a supportive community of fellow believers.
  • Foundations of Discipleship - This is a new ministry for all ages led by Pastor David Schenck. This will be a short-term, classroom-based small group offered year round that focuses on answering the most common questions every Christian has about salvation, the inspiration of the Bible, temptation, the will of God, etc. Each week, this small group will have breakout groups and meet for a total of 4-5 months.
As a whole, we believe these four new ministries will help us to build meaningful relationships, connect, and further fulfill our church's mission to "BE Disciples and MAKE disciples." These ministries are centered on Christ, anchored in the word of God, and done for the glory of God - we can't wait for them to begin! To read more about any particular ministry, take a look at our "ministries" page on our website!
